Your Inexpensive Intro to Sports Nutrition

by

Are you a student with an interest in sports?

Are you working in a hospital, but want to dip your toes into fueling athletes to see if it’s for you?

Do you just need some credits and are on a budget?

Here are a few places to start with sports nutrition… wait for it… for FREE!

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers a number of position and practice papers on various nutrition topics. While they do not provide CPE credit, they are a great read if you’re interested in the topic.

Here is their position on Sports Nutrition: Nutrition and Athlete Performance (Joint effort between the Academy, Dietitians of Canada, and the American College of Sports Medicine)

Note: Some of the practice papers, do provide CPE credit with a quiz. The list can be found HERE.

  2. Do we just fill in our names and date on the certificate?

  3. Hi Kimberly,

That’s right. Typically CEU providers provide a blank certificate after completing the course. You’ll want to print it, fill in any details, and then file it away for safe-keeping. Also, it’s very important to log the credits you just earned on the CDR site or using the CDR’s app. Hope this helps!
